Fall has arrived, kids are back to school, and the SMHS team is hard at work. We have said goodbye to our SMHS coordinator Melissa Kimber, who has taken a postdoctoral fellowship with Dr. Harriet MacMillan at the Offord Centre for Child Studies. She will be working on research to understand the influence of child maltreatment on eating disorders. Congratulations to Melissa on her new position, and a huge thank you for all the hard work she put in our the School Mental Health Surveys!
We have welcomed three new post-doctoral fellows to the OCHS/SMHS team – Irene Vitoroulis, Jinette Comeau, and Soyeon Kim. We are hard at work organizing and exploring all of the data we have collected from the SMHS, and will be working over the next few months to create school board reports for those who participated. The surveys may be all done, but there is lots of work still to do!
